What the checker does here

A BEP20 transfer to an address you copied from Ethereum does not cross to Ethereum. It stays on BNB Smart Chain, credited to that address there. The checker looks at that address on BNB Smart Chain and on every other supported network, so you see exactly which chain holds the tokens.

From there the question is the same as for any wrong-network transfer. A wallet whose key you hold can add BNB Smart Chain and move the tokens. An address where the rescue contract can be deployed can be swept. An exchange deposit address or a project contract needs the party that controls it, and the checker prepares the proof page and the message for that.

The token contract itself differs per chain. The checker reports the balance under the token contract it found on the holding chain, with the raw units, so the figure can be verified against any explorer.
