Are funds sent on the wrong network lost?

What the checker does here

Every EVM network uses the same address format, so a transfer sent on the wrong network still lands at the address you typed, on a different chain. The checker reads that chain directly: the balance, whether any contract code sits at the address, and the curated token balances it knows about.

If the address is a wallet you hold the key to, you can move the funds yourself by adding the network to that wallet. If it is an address where the SixStar rescue contract can be deployed, the checker says so and points you at the open-source tool for a free, signature-authorised sweep in which you pay only the network fees. If an exchange or a project controls the address, the checker gives you a proof page and a copy-ready message to send them: it states what is there and who is able to move it.

Nothing is stored and nothing is signed to check. The result carries the block number of every read and the exact RPC calls, so anyone you send it to can re-derive it.
